Interflug was East Germany's state airline. Other entities, including the National People's Army (NVA), adopted its livery on few planes. For instance, Transport Squadron 44 tasked with transporting high-ranking politicians operated the Tu-154M under the registration DDR-SFA in Interflug livery.
This inspired the fictional VIP Citation X's Interflug paint scheme. "HsEvaW" represents the german abbreviation of "Highly significant individual of extraordinary importance" (Hochgradig signifikante Einzelperson von außerordentlicher Wichtigkeit). The DDR-SED registration, symbolic of the ruling SED party, was likely unused. If used, it might have been for an Interflug Il-62 (M), as they followed the pattern DDR-SE... or DM-SE... in registration.
